In the Media Centre of the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan(NTRC) it was held a press conference on the opening of a new educational TV channel «Mahalla».

During the event it was announced on the air broadcasting transmission of this channel. This project has been designed and implemented based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 17, 2014 "On creation of educational TV channel« Mahalla».

Since independence Uzbekistan got up on the way of creation of a democratic state and strong civil society. Under the leadership of President Islam Karimov in the country it has been paid special attention to the development “Mahalla” which is an institution of self-government and active participant of interaction between state and society. Increasing its status is of great social importance. Opening of the new channel is another step towards creating the necessary conditions for its development.

As NTRC administration notes that, main tasks of the channel will be widely informing the population about the role and importance of the institution “Mahalla”, which is an important factor in the formation of a democratic state and civil society in Uzbekistan. In the framework of its activities include social issues, spiritual education of the younger generation, strengthening family values, providing targeted assistance to the elderly and citizens in need of social protection, and many others.

Within the framework of the State program for technical and technological transition to digital broadcasting in recent years in the structure of NTRC of Uzbekistan it has been established activity of new digital channels such as «Madaniyat va Ma'rifat», «Dunyo bo'ylab», «Kinoteatr», «Navo» , «Bolajon», «Oilaviy», «Diyor». Now this number will be replenished with educational channel «Mahalla». It will broadcast programs about the centuries-old traditions, ancestral values and customs of the Uzbek people, as well as the essence and content of the State program "Year of attention and care for the older generation".

A system to discuss of developing draft of legislative acts and evaluation of existing legislative acts affecting to business was launched on the Single interactive state services portal.

Thanks to this system, citizens and business entities can take part in discussion of developing the drafts and the adoption of legislative acts in the field of entrepreneurship.

Comments and proposals left by users on the Single portal will be considered by public agencies and on the base of them will be took decision (acceptance or rejection of proposals).

In addition, users can participate in the evaluation of the impact on the business already existing legislative acts by filling out a special questionnaire posted on the portal.

The system is realized in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 7 April 2014 “On additional measures to further improve the investment climate and business environment in the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
